Aishata, a Cleveland, OH native, discovered her passion for sewing as a young girl under the guidance of her mother. Her travels across West Africa deepened her love for traditional fabrics like mudcloth, kente cloth, raffia, and korhogo.

She seamlessly interweaves these bold, colorful, and meaningful materials with Western textiles such as cotton blends, denim, and linen, creating designs that are both culturally rooted and fashion-forward.
